Medical Department

An ancient physician said that medicine is not just a science, but an art. The Victoria Department of Medicine (VICDOM) diagnoses, treats and cares for 6000 to 8000 patients a month. Achieving this with a high degree of excellence is most certainly an art. The medical ward cares for patients suffering from lifestyle or non-communicable diseases like hypertension, heart attacks, emphysema and strokes. VICDOM offers 72 inpatient beds, 3 ICU beds and a handful of outpatient clinics like the excellent Palliative Care programme. The medical department has also establish a research initiative called VIMRI (Victoria Internal Medicine Research Initiative).
